Troubleshooting

Chromebook:

  • Chromebook Getting Started (link)

  • Fix hardware and system problems (link)

  • Troubleshoot issues with Google Meet (link)

    • Making the overall Chrome window smaller may help.

    • Use the Spotlight in layout

    • Close tabs/apps.

    • Try not to put another window on top of your Meet window (window layering can cause more GPU load). Or better yet, Close all other windows when possible.

    • Disconnecting high-resolution displays (QHD, 4K, etc.) should significantly improve performance being used.

    • Turn off camera if not needed (you can still opt to just present).

    • Don't charge while in a meeting (charging the battery generates heat, which may lead to additional throttling.)
