Good Morning Fort Lee Families,

I hope that you are well and staying safe. For the students: keep up the great work! I know that it is not the best situation, but do your best to keep it going.

It’s too cold for a video today, so I am going with another letter. We had cold, rain, hail and snow flurries last week. It must be spring in New Jersey. One of the events of spring is the return of the variety of animals in Bergen County. I woke up this morning to see my 75 pound dog chasing a baby squirrel in my bedroom. It was an interesting way to start the day. The squirrel disappeared in the bathroom and my dog looked confused.

Governor Murphy has made a few general statements about the possible reopening of schools. As of this morning, I am not aware of any official decisions from the Governor’s office. I will be watching his press conference today at 12:00. I will continue to keep you informed on any new developments.

REMINDER:  Maintain the practice of social distancing. It is working, but it’s not over yet.

Activity Suggestion: Time to start planning your next vacation. You may not be able to decide when it will happen, but it may be fun to think about where it may be. You can take virtual trips to just about any destination. It may also serve as a geography lesson for the kids.

The Red Cross is alerting everyone to blood and platelet shortage. Please donate if you can. https://www.redcrossblood.org/

Stay home and stay safe.

We will get through this,  TOGETHER.
