NJ Summer EBTSummer EBT is a federal program to help families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families will receive $120 for each eligible child to buy groceries during the summer. Children who receive Summer EBT benefits can still participate in other summer meal programs. Receiving benefits will not affect children or families’ immigration status.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The 2025–2026 Free & Reduced Meal Status will expire on October 19, 2026. Students who have not been approved for Free & Reduced Meal Status for the 2026–2027 school year by submitting a new application and being determined eligible will be required to pay for school meals beginning Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

To help ensure that your child’s meal benefits continue without interruption, we strongly encourage families to submit the 2026–2027 Free and Reduced Meal Application by September 30, 2026.

Families can complete the application online through PaySchools Central:

Before beginning the application, please have the following information available:

  • Your child(ren)’s Student ID number(s)
  • Income information for all household members
  • SNAP/TANF/FDPIR case number, if applicable

Your child’s Student ID number can be found by logging into the Genesis Parent Portal.

Please complete all requested information fully and accurately. Missing or incorrect information may delay the processing of your application. For assistance, please refer to the attached PaySchools Central instructions.

Please remember that the Free and Reduced Meal Application must be completed each school year to determine your child(ren)’s eligibility for free or reduced-price meals.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

PaySchools Central, will experience a rate adjustment on February 12, 2025 for credit card transactions. The new effective rate is 3.25% plus $1.25 per credit card transaction.  

Please be advised of additional payment options:

  • PaySchools Electronic Check (E-Check): The fee for this payment option remains the same at a flat fee of $1.75 per E-Check transaction.
  • Check or Money Order: Avoid transaction fees by funding your child's meal accounts with a check or money order. You may make checks or money orders payable to the Fort Lee Board of Education, on the memo line write "Lunch" your child's name & student id #, and submit the payment to your child's school. 

Please note: During school year 2024-2025, students who qualify for free or reduced meal status would not incur transaction fees relating to their free meal.  However, if the child's account would be funded to cover the cost of additional items or meals (i.e. Extra slice of pizza, cookie, etc.) the transaction fee would be incurred.
